KiezPilot
Berlin for families, made simple

Report content

In KiezPilot, parents can add or correct details about a place, and we show such contributions to other parents as "reported by parents". That means we store information provided by users and make it available; for that we are a hosting service within the meaning of Art. 3(g)(iii) of the Digital Services Act (DSA). This page is our notice and action mechanism under Art. 16 DSA.

1. How to submit a notice

Send an email to hello@kiezpilot.com with the subject "Notice". That is our electronic notice mechanism; you do not need an account. In the app you can also flag a place directly via "Report outdated info"; for illegal content please use this page, so that the notice is complete.

2. What a notice must contain

Art. 16(2) DSA requires four elements. Only with them can we handle your notice in a way that lets us establish illegality without a detailed legal examination:

3. What happens next

4. Redress

If you disagree with our decision, you can go to a competent court. The rules on internal complaint handling, out-of-court dispute settlement, and trusted flaggers (Art. 20 to 22 DSA) do not apply to us: KiezPilot is a micro enterprise within the meaning of Art. 19 DSA. Our duties under Art. 11, 12, 14, 16 and 17 DSA apply regardless and are met here.

5. Misuse

Please report only what you genuinely believe to be illegal. If someone knowingly submits false or misleading notices, we may suspend the processing of further notices from that person.

6. Points of contact

Single point of contact for authorities (Art. 11 DSA) and for recipients of the service (Art. 12 DSA): hello@kiezpilot.com, in German or English. The provider and postal address are in the Impressum; how we handle your notice under data-protection law is described in §2.12 of the privacy policy.
